My Story

An Oakland, California native, I grew up with an appreciation for the flavors that the South has to offer through the dishes my mother and grandmother made. My passion for food came at an early age from watching the joy that people experience at the table while sharing a meal with loved ones.  As I grew, so did my passion for food.  While overcoming the challenges of urban living, I was determined to excel in the food industry.  As I grew professionally, I worked for years as a chef and manager in prestigious California business & industry dining locations such as Google, Facebook, and Hewlett-Packard.  I also have experience in the hospitality industry and private chef environments. I currently serves as the Executive Chef at Touro University California (TUC), where I bring that internationally flavored cooking style I have acquired over the years into kosher cooking at TUC.
